In the vicinity of the Vicente Calderón Stadium , ultras of Atlético and Lazio have caused riots. Among the 2500 Italian fans , there were many who carried flags and shirts of Real Madrid and merchandising of Ultras Sur. Radical groups Irriducibili and Ultras Sur are brothers.
The police presence was not able to prevent the riots. There were six wounded in total and a detainee. During the fighting, were burnt hedges adjacent to the Vicente Calderon. As expected, the twinning of the Lazio ultras with Real Madrid was the essential reason why the incidents occurred.

Again, the repression is acting up ...
The Green Angels will celebrate tonight their 20th anniversary of the group on the Away trip to Auxerre, and the group mobilized themselves for the event , creating a tifo.
Hours of work , an investment in people but also financial destroyed in minutes, since security prohibited the tifo of GA.
This is not the first time , since last week for example, Bordeaux fans planned were to give up their tifo against Lyon.

Fights broke out in Luzern on saturday between travelling Young Boys Bern supporters and local police , when YB fans refused to take the busses the police had prepared for them. Instead they tried to force the police lines and walk to stadium. Clashes followed and police used rubber bullets.

Romania - Uruguay , 29.02.2012

In the 60th minute of last night's friendly game between Romania and Uruguay , some fans displayed a banner saying " FRF=RMGC" . FRF ( the Romanian Football Federation ) signed a partnership with RMGC ( Rosia Montana Gold Corporation) an U.S.-Canadian coporation who wants to exploite some gold deposit in Romania, creating in the proces an ecological disaster.
The police and BGS troops ( private security company ) intervened in force , took the banner and proceded on beating ( both in the stadium and outside as well )and evacuating the fans.
The rest of the fans attending the National Arena game ,shouted slogans against the FRF and LPF ( Romanian Football League ) leaders.

Panathinaikos - Olympiakos , 18.03.2012

The Athens derby between Panathinaikos and Olympiakos was abandoned after being interrupted twice by crowd violence on Sunday.
Three fire trucks were called in to extinguish flames as unruly Panathinaikos fans set several sections of the stands on fire.

The start of the second half was delayed by 45 minutes as fans pelted police with flares, molotovs and missiles and was subsequently abandoned altogether with nine minutes remaining with Olympiakos 1-0 ahead through Djamel Abdoun's 51st-minute goal.
Several petrol bombs exploded close to the pitch, prompting referee Anastasio Kakos to end the match prematurely and pull the players off the field.

Twenty police officers were injured and over 50 arrests were made, while 10 molotov cocktails, sticks, firecrackers and two knives were confiscated by the authorities, police said.
Panathinaikos captain Kostas Katsouranis said Greek soccer had been shamed.

Some 1 000 Macedonians , most of them football fans , gathered in the capital Skopje late on Monday to protest in the wake of the brutal murder of five Macedonian men last week.

Several protesters, mostly youngsters, were arrested after they threw rocks at police officers, and shouted nationalistic and anti-Albanian slogans, B92 informs.

Late Thursday, the bodies of four young men, aged 18 to 20, as well as that of a 45-year-old local man, all of ethnic Slavic origin, were found near a lake in the vicinity of Macedonian capital Skopje. The tragic event took place on the eve of Orthodox Easter holidays

The murders sparked fears that a simmering conflict between Slavic and Albanian Macedonian citizens could re-ignite.

Tensions in Macedonia have been simmering since the end of an armed rebellion in 2001, when ethnic Albanian rebels fought Macedonian government forces for about eight months, seeking greater rights for their community. The conflict left 80 people dead, and ended with the intervention of NATO troops.

Meanwhile, media reports emerged that there may have been a surviving witness to last week's brutal murders. According to Vecernie Novosti, the killers may have "overlooked" the presence of a witness, who is now believed to be providing investigators with valuable assistance.

The execution aims at sparking an interethnic conflict, Alexander Damovski, a journalist and editor-in-chief of the Macedonian news website MKD.mk, said in an interview with FOCUS News Agency, commenting on the killing of five fishermen close to Skopje and ensuing tension.
“The information about the way the killings were committed, about the escape and professionalism of the execution show it is a contract killing, not a preliminary interethnic conflict. This is an execution and a group or a service – no matter whether it is foreign or local – is behind it. However, what is important is that an interethnic context is sought,” said the journalist.
“If it is a contract killing and a service is involved, according to all pieces of evidence it is not related with settling of scores in the criminal world,” he said further.
“Up to now there are no serious concerns, but the aim is being achieved. Yesterday small demonstrations were held and the police did their work quickly. The pent-up anger in the Macedonian nation and Macedonian citizens in general still poses a risk,” he noted.
“I think there is good cooperation between the Macedonian and Albanians partners in the government in order to prevent interethnic conflicts. As to the country’s security and prevention of similar situations, it seems the security services do not have sufficient capacity,” he commented.
